About the Event

Rooted in the tradition of Langston’s Parlor, this intimate session will guide participants through writing prompts, discussion, and live examples that reveal how softness can be a radical tool in poetry. We’ll examine how vulnerability gives language its power, and how truth-telling in verse has always been at the heart of activism—especially across the Black and African diasporas.

Whether you’re a seasoned writer or new to the page, come ready to dig deep, listen closely, and write toward liberation.
