From 5–7 September 2025, the New York Black & African Literature Festival (NYBALF) will turn Harlem into a three-day commons for dialogue, performance, and community building. None of it happens without volunteers and people who believe that collective imagination is powered by collective work. If you’re ready to lend your skills and energy, we’d love to have you on the team.

Minimum age: 18. High-school seniors aged 17 may apply with guardian consent.
