We are looking for volunteers who want to be part of creating a generous, well-run, and welcoming space for Black and African literary culture in New York. Volunteers will help shape the experience of the festival from the moment guests and audiences arrive: supporting artists, welcoming attendees, assisting with programs, helping with documentation, coordinating spaces, and carrying the spirit of the festival into the room.

This is an opportunity to work closely with a growing cultural platform, meet writers, artists, publishers, organizers, and readers from across Africa and the diaspora, and contribute meaningfully to a festival rooted in literature, community, and exchange.

We welcome people with experience in events, media, production, hospitality, arts administration, community organizing, or communications, as well as anyone simply willing to show up with care, attention, and enthusiasm.
